Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Albion had an population of 1,580 people. This is a decrease of 4.24% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 12.08% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Albion had a population of 1,650 people (or 29.97% of the total population of Boone County). This makes Albion the county's most populous community.

The population of Albion represents 0.09% of the total population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 69th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,650 people, the population of Albion decreased 8.18% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,797 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Albion was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Albion post office opened in 1873.

We also found Albion on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
