At the time of the 2010 Census, Pembina had a population of 592 people (which is 7.99% of the total population of Pembina County). This makes Pembina the county's 4th most populous community.

We originally found mention of Pembina in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pembina was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Pembina post office opened in 1850.

We also found Pembina in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
