At the time of the 2010 Census, Loma had a population of 16 people. This makes Loma the county's 11th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 16 people, the population of Loma decreased 23.81% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 21 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Loma was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Loma post office opened in 1906.

We also found Loma on a map titled Rand McNally Map of North Dakota (1937).
