Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Horace had an population of 2,942 people. This is an increase of 21.07% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 221.53% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Horace had a population of 2,430 people. This makes Horace the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Horace represents 0.36% of the population of North Dakota (which has 672,591 people), making it the state's 21st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,430 people, the population of Horace increased 165.57% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 915 people).

We originally found mention of Horace in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Horace was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Horace post office opened in 1875.

We also found Horace in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
