Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Dwight had an population of 78 people. This is a decrease of 4.88% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 4% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Dwight had a population of 82 people. This makes Dwight the county's 11th most populous community.

The population of Dwight represents 0.01% of the total population of North Dakota (which has 672,591 people), making it the state's 299th most populous community.

We originally found mention of Dwight in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dwight was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Dwight post office opened in 1881.

We also found Dwight in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
