While we don't have a date for the founding of Windsor, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1803.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Windsor had an population of 3,462 people. This is a decrease of 4.63% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 51.64% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Windsor had a population of 3,630 people (which is 17.06% of the total population of Bertie County). This makes Windsor the county's most populous community.

The population of Windsor represents 0.04% of the total population of North Carolina (which has 9,535,483 people), making it the state's 171st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 3,630 people, the population of Windsor increased 59% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,283 people).
