The city of Saluda is primarily located in Henderson County<1>. A portion of Saluda extends into Polk County.


The location of Saluda has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Saluda, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Saluda has a population of 695 people<3> (see below for details).

Saluda is 2,190 feet [668 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Saluda is about ½ mile above sea level.

Time Zone: Saluda lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Saluda had an population of 695 people. This is a decrease of 2.52% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 20.87% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Saluda had a population of 713 people. This makes Saluda the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 713 people, the population of Saluda increased 24% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 575 people).
