While we don't have a date for the founding of Bridger, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1898.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Bridger had an population of 753 people. This is an increase of 6.36% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 1.07% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Bridger had a population of 708 people (which is 7.03% of the total population of Carbon County). This makes Bridger the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Bridger represents 0.07% of the total population of Montana (which has 989,415 people), making it the state's 71st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 708 people, the population of Bridger decreased 4.97% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 745 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Bridger was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Bridger post office opened in 1898.
