Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Grenada had an population of 12,207 people. This is a decrease of 6.76% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 17.96% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Grenada had a population of 13,092 people (which is 59.76% of the total population of Grenada County). This makes Grenada the county's most populous community.

The population of Grenada represents 0.44% of the total population of Mississippi (which has 2,967,297 people), making it the state's 32nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 13,092 people, the population of Grenada decreased 12.01% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 14,879 people).
