At the time of the 2010 Census, Beaumont had a population of 951 people (or 7.76% of the total population of Perry County). This makes Beaumont the county's 2nd most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Beaumont was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Beaumont post office opened in 1902.
