Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hayti had an population of 2,512 people. This is a decrease of 14.53% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 21.67% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hayti had a population of 2,939 people (which is 16.06% of the total population of Pemiscot County). This makes Hayti the county's 2nd most populous community.

We originally found mention of Hayti in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hayti was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Hayti post office opened in 1895.

We also found Hayti on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1904.
