Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hale had an population of 396 people. This is a decrease of 5.49% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 16.28% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hale had a population of 419 people. This makes Hale the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 419 people, the population of Hale decreased 11.42% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 473 people).

We originally found mention of Hale in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hale was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Hale post office opened in 1884.

We also found Hale in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
