The community of Ivanhoe is the Seat for Lincoln County.

Lincoln County was founded in 1873 and was created by taking area from Lyon County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Lincoln had a population of 5,619 people. This is a decrease of 4.7% since the last Census (which gave a population of 5,896 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Lincoln represented 0.11% of the total population of Minnesota.
