Hubbard County was founded in 1883 and was created by taking area from Cass County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Hubbard had a population of 21,604 people. This is an increase of 5.76% since the last Census (which gave a population of 20,428 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hubbard represented 0.39% of the total population of Minnesota.
