Carver County was founded in 1855. Carver was created by taking area from Hennepin and Sibley Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Carver had a population of 105,128 people. This is an increase of 15.47% since the last Census (which gave a population of 91,042 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Carver represented 1.72% of the total population of Minnesota.
