Becker County was founded in 1858. Becker was created by taking area from Cass and Pembina Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Becker had a population of 34,461 people. This is an increase of 6.02% since the last Census (which gave a population of 32,504 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Becker represented 0.61% of the total population of Minnesota.
