From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Chisholm was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Chisholm post office opened in 1901.

We also found Chisholm mentioned on a train schedule titled Greyhound Bus Time Table (November 1931).
