Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Chaska had an population of 27,022 people. This is an increase of 13.68% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 54.86% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Chaska had a population of 23,770 people (which is 26.11% of the total population of Carver County). This makes Chaska the county's most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Chaska was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Chaska post office opened in 1854.
