From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dry Prong was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Dry Prong post office opened in 1902.

We also found Dry Prong on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Louisiana (1911).
