Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Moran had an population of 510 people. This is a decrease of 8.6% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 9.25% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Moran had a population of 558 people. This makes Moran the county's 5th most populous community.

The population of Moran represents 0.02% of the total population of Kansas (which has 2,853,118 people), making it the state's 274th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 558 people, the population of Moran has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 562 people).
