Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Moline had an population of 41,325 people. This is a decrease of 4.96% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 5.58% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Moline had a population of 43,483 people (which is 29.47% of the total population of Rock Island County). This makes Moline the county's most populous community.

The population of Moline represents 0.34% of the total population of Illinois (which has 12,830,632 people), making it the state's 35th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 43,483 people, the population of Moline has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 43,768 people).
