While we don't have a date for the founding of Alexis, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

At the time of the 2010 Census, Alexis had a population of 831 people (or 5.06% of the total population of Mercer County). This makes Alexis the county's 3rd most populous community.
