At the time of the 2010 Census, Teton had a population of 735 people (or 5.55% of the total population of Fremont County). This makes Teton the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Teton represents 0.05% of the population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 99th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 735 people, the population of Teton increased 29.17% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 569 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Teton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Teton post office opened in 1885.

We also found Teton in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
