Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Soda Springs had an population of 3,022 people. This is a decrease of 1.18% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 10.62% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Soda Springs had a population of 3,058 people (which is 43.92% of the total population of Caribou County). This makes Soda Springs the county's most populous community.

The population of Soda Springs represents 0.2% of the population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 45th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 3,058 people, the population of Soda Springs decreased 9.55% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 3,381 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Soda Springs was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Soda Springs post office opened in 1864.
