Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Rathdrum had an population of 9,149 people. This is an increase of 34.03% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 89.97% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Rathdrum had a population of 6,826 people. This makes Rathdrum the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Rathdrum represents 0.44% of the population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 26th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,826 people, the population of Rathdrum increased 41.74% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 4,816 people).
