At the time of the 2010 Census, Idaho Falls had a population of 56,813 people (which is 54.51% of the total population of Bonneville County). This makes Idaho Falls the county's most populous community.

The population of Idaho Falls represents 3.62% of the population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 56,813 people, the population of Idaho Falls increased 11.99% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 50,730 people).
