Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Georgetown had an population of 496 people. This is an increase of 4.2% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 7.81% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Georgetown had a population of 476 people (or 7.95% of the total population of Bear Lake County). This makes Georgetown the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Georgetown represents 0.03% of the population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 129th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 476 people, the population of Georgetown decreased 11.52% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 538 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Georgetown was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).

We also found Georgetown mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (September 1924).
