Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Eagle had an population of 29,826 people. This is an increase of 49.82% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 169.07% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Eagle had a population of 19,908 people (or 5.07% of the total population of Ada County). This makes Eagle the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Eagle represents 1.27% of the total population of Idaho (which has 1,567,582 people), making it the state's 13th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 19,908 people, the population of Eagle increased 79.59% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 11,085 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Eagle was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Eagle post office opened in 1908.
