The community of Rupert is the Seat for Minidoka County.

Minidoka County was founded in 1913 and was created by taking area from Lincoln County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Minidoka had a population of 20,910 people. This is an increase of 4.19% since the last Census (which gave a population of 20,069 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Minidoka represented 1.28% of the total population of Idaho.
