The community of Idaho Falls is the Seat for Bonneville County.

Bonneville County was founded in 1911 and was created by taking area from Bingham County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Bonneville had a population of 119,286 people. This is an increase of 14.44% since the last Census (which gave a population of 104,234 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Bonneville represented 6.65% of the total population of Idaho.
