Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Logan had an population of 1,416 people. This is a decrease of 7.69% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 8.35% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Logan had a population of 1,534 people (which is 10.28% of the total population of Harrison County). This makes Logan the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Logan represents 0.05% of the total population of Iowa (which has 3,046,355 people), making it the state's 199th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,534 people, the population of Logan has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,545 people).
