From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Earlville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Earlville post office opened in 1858.

We also found Earlville in the book titled Iowa State Gazetteer (1865).
