Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Woodstock had an population of 33,113 people. This is an increase of 38.57% since the 2010 Census.

At the time of the 2010 Census, Woodstock had a population of 23,896 people (or 11.15% of the total population of Cherokee County). This makes Woodstock the county's most populous community.

The population of Woodstock represents 0.25% of the total population of Georgia (which has 9,687,653 people), making it the state's 31st most populous community.

We originally found mention of Woodstock in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Woodstock was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Woodstock post office opened in 1832.

We also found Woodstock in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
