Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Jasper had an population of 3,990 people. This is an increase of 8.31% since the 2010 Census.

At the time of the 2010 Census, Jasper had a population of 3,684 people (which is 12.52% of the total population of Pickens County). This makes Jasper the county's most populous community.

The population of Jasper represents 0.04% of the total population of Georgia (which has 9,687,653 people), making it the state's 160th most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Jasper was on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1855.

We also found Jasper in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
