At the time of the 2010 Census, Dade City had a population of 6,437 people. This makes Dade City the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Dade City represents 0.03% of the population of Florida (which has 18,801,310 people), making it the state's 191st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,437 people, the population of Dade City increased 4.02% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 6,188 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dade City was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Dade City post office opened in 1884.

We also found Dade City on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Florida (1956).
