The Commemorative State Quarter for Utah

Description: The Utah coin contains two steam locomotives, with the Golden Spike between them and the Rocky Mountains in the background.

The coin reflects the joining of the Union Pacific tracks with those of the Central Pacific to become the transcontinental railroad (on May 10, 1869). With the joining at Promontory, the railroads forever linked the East to the West.
