Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Wray had an population of 2,360 people. This is an increase of 0.77% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 7.91% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wray had a population of 2,342 people (or 23.32% of the total population of Yuma County). This makes Wray the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Wray represents 0.05% of the population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 105th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,342 people, the population of Wray increased 7.09% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,187 people).

We originally found mention of Wray in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wray was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Wray post office opened in 1882.

We also found Wray in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
