Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sheridan had an population of 6,084 people. This is an increase of 7.42% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 8.64% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sheridan had a population of 5,664 people. This makes Sheridan the county's 7th most populous community.

The population of Sheridan represents 0.11% of the population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 67th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 5,664 people, the population of Sheridan increased 1.14% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 5,600 people).
