Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Holly had an population of 775 people. This is a decrease of 3.37% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 26.05% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Holly had a population of 802 people (or 6.39% of the total population of Prowers County). This makes Holly the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Holly represents 0.02% of the total population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 160th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 802 people, the population of Holly decreased 23.47% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,048 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Holly was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Holly post office opened in 1880.

We also found Holly in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
