Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Woodland had an population of 59,931 people. This is an increase of 8.05% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 21.93% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Woodland had a population of 55,468 people (which is 27.62% of the total population of Yolo County). This makes Woodland the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Woodland represents 0.15% of the population of California (which has 37,253,956 people), making it the state's 152nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 55,468 people, the population of Woodland increased 12.85% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 49,151 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Woodland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Woodland post office opened in 1861.

We also found Woodland in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
