At the time of the 2010 Census, Weed had a population of 2,967 people (which is 6.61% of the total population of Siskiyou County). This makes Weed the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,967 people, the population of Weed has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,978 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Weed was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>
