From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wasco was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Wasco post office opened in 1900.

We also found Wasco on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for California (1956).
