Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Soledad had an population of 25,781 people. This is an increase of 0.17% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 128.9% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Soledad had a population of 25,738 people (which is 6.2% of the total population of Monterey County). This makes Soledad the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Soledad represents 0.07% of the total population of California (which has 37,253,956 people), making it the state's 258th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 25,738 people, the population of Soledad increased 128.52% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 11,263 people).
