Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Paradise had an population of 4,171 people. This is a decrease of 84.09% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 84.21% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Paradise had a population of 26,218 people (or 11.92% of the total population of Butte County). This makes Paradise the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Paradise represents 0.07% of the population of California (which has 37,253,956 people), making it the state's 255th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 26,218 people, the population of Paradise has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 26,408 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Paradise was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Paradise post office opened in 1877.

We also found Paradise in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
