At the time of the 2010 Census, Globe had a population of 7,532 people (or 14.05% of the total population of Gila County). This makes Globe the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Globe represents 0.12% of the total population of Arizona (which has 6,392,017 people), making it the state's 47th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 7,532 people, the population of Globe has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 7,486 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Globe was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Globe post office opened in 1876.

We also found Globe in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
