Yuma County is one of the original counties of Arizona and was founded in 1864.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Yuma had a population of 214,182 people. This is an increase of 9.42% since the last Census (which gave a population of 195,751 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Yuma represented 3.06% of the total population of Arizona.
