At the time of the 2010 Census, Searcy had a population of 22,858 people (which is 29.66% of the total population of White County). This makes Searcy the county's most populous community.

The population of Searcy represents 0.78% of the population of Arkansas (which has 2,915,918 people), making it the state's 21st most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Searcy was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Searcy post office opened in 1838.
