The population of Rockport represents 0.03% of the total population of Arkansas (which has 2,915,918 people), making it the state's 222nd most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Rockport was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Rockport post office opened in 1837.

We also found Rockport in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
