While we don't have a date for the founding of Damascus, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Damascus had an population of 384 people. This is an increase of 0.52% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 25.49% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Damascus had a population of 382 people. This makes Damascus the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Damascus represents 0.01% of the population of Arkansas (which has 2,915,918 people), making it the state's 314th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 382 people, the population of Damascus increased 24.84% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 306 people).
