Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Union had an population of 209 people. This is a decrease of 11.81% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 7.93% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Union had a population of 237 people. This makes Union the county's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 237 people, the population of Union increased 4.41% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 227 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Union was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Union post office opened in 1836.

We also found Union in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
